Post by: Redaktion on March 25, 2020, 11:38:49
The failed AirPower project has been revived within Apple, according to tipster Jon Prosser, because the company is keen to push forward with a portless iPhone. Although not calling out the iPhone 12 Pro to get a portless design, it wouldn't surprise to see Apple advance to a portless design sooner rather than later.

Dear Apple, please don't force this bullcrap on us. Wireless charging is a cool thing to have, but don't make it a necessity. Just switch to USB-C, which was a sane thing to do three generations ago already.

This would alienate users on iOS but not Mac because of the inconvenience of connecting a PC to iPhone wirelessly. And for what, their excuse would be 200mAh more battery again?
