Hot and enduring. Enormous battery runtimes are obviously always appreciated, but they are somewhat conflicting with the not very mobile 17-inch form factor in the case of the new notebook from HP. Pretty successful on the other hand is the orientation towards multimedia aspects, the sound system in particular left a very good impression. The biggest issue are the very hot chassis temperatures.

battery run time is not important for 17.3" notebook? are you kidding? im the one using Envy 7 for my daily work . i happy to see 17.3" can last upto 8 hours battery life & paper work can go until 13 hours.
Any idea how to cool this laptop? ;D
Thanks.
you not even a HP owner , why you ask this.
i dont have any heat issue with my Envy M7 . HP design is great than Dell.
This one could be much cooler ?

Is it a good compromise ?
What is the equivalent model number of this laptop (non-touchscreen) in the U.S.? Thanks
I also noticed the review said it has a matte display (is this actually matte or just anti-glare; heard the touch and non-touch models use the same screen-but do not know if this is actually a fact or not-so am asking here) Thanks
You will also test the HP Envy 15 (15-ae103nc)?
