Last month, Samsung attempted to cover up a Galaxy S7's battery failure. Can they be trusted after the Note 7's failures and now this?

Is this typical Samsung nowadays? Seriously, they are destroying their reputation that what's left of it. My Galaxy S5 is overheating too after software update and I am afraid to RMA because they might not admit the problem they caused and send me back even worse. And this news (thanks a lot for posting) does not help either and it is highly disturbing.
