Title: Laptop prices likely to drop as OEMs and ODMs reportedly looking to stimulate falling demand with generous discounts

Compare to 2021 the price of a laptop is 25% higher in my country...
The 2021 model is around 1.5-1.7 times of the MSRP before tax

Now for 2022 its 2.0-2.7 of the MSRP...

It's about time! I want a 2 in 1 with the ryzen 6000 series processor and refuse to pay the insane prices they currently are asking. My 4th gen i7 is still plenty for what I do with it anymore. I'd like to be able to play diablo 2 resurrected on an igp with a steady 60 fps, and the 6000 series should be able to do that. Other than that, my needs are pretty basic at this point.

Right now all new laptops are just priced above existing ones. AMD U series and Intel P series low power CPUs with no dGPU likely will push into better prices.
