Display Surprise. Full-HD display, Blu-ray burner, 1 TB HDD, 16 GB RAM, quad-core CPU - HP packs the top model of the new Envy dv6 series to the limit. So does the great hardware add up to a great notebook? Find out in the following review.

In the US they also offer an option of a GDDR5 Geforce GT 650M with an extra $175.
Really nice machine!!!
First off,I want to thank notebookcheck team for such a good review,I found it very detailed and informative. It also covered many question I had about this product, except for one thing that is still unclear to me and many living in this part of the world, which is why is Hp not offering the gpu upgrade (650m) in europe?its such an important upgrade that it makes no sense to just leave it out!!
i prefer asus n56vz
Wicked, thorough review covering important stuff like number of DIMM slots, disk speed, various battery life tests, etc. Seriously, why aren't all reviews done like this?
Very good laptop. The best screen for PC on the market. But it has a loud fan which is so distracting.
>:(I hate this computer! It is so difficult to navigate around. I have a document open and there is nothing on the screen to close the page! Hate it! Hate it! Hate it!
Found a cheap one online http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B009FZNJ68/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used wish i could buy it
I have brought this laptop 8 months back and I have changed the Screen twice as it was started giving horizontal thick lines on the screen. hoping the 2nd screen will work well.
Battery temperature is incorrect. Temperature while using it is around 60-90 degrees Celsius. Would not recommend buying this computer overall.
Do not buy this computer. I've had it for 14mos and had to send it in twice. Once was in the first 6 mos because it just stopped turning on. The second was at the 13 month mark with the same issue. Now, the sound and videos are not working. I am very unhappy with this computer.
can the CPU be changed? I was told it was a Socketed CPU???
