A report by China Times indicates that Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte-leading Taiwanese OEMs-are all trying to clear their inventory of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 series Turing cards to make way for the arrival of the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 in Q3 2020.

If they reveal the arch in May we should see if there is something significant we loose by buying Turing. That could affect if those card will sell well. If new cards have significant rasterization performance uplift the cuts would have to be strong. If DXR sees a dramatic uplift - then also somewhat too, especially if DXR marketing goes strong (Cyberpunk? other).
Will top Turing hold value like 1080 Ti did? that's the question.
Yes. The article is now is the best time to buy this series, not a new GPU.
Or you could just wait until Sept for the new ones.
What is the point of buying overpriced old hardware when you can wait for overpriced new hardware. Yippee.
It's all snake oil at the end of the day anyways.
So be even smarter and avoid both.
