As a refreshed version of the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the 8 Plus Gen 1 (or 8+ Gen 1) has appeared nearly exclusively in flagship-level Android smartphones as a rule in 2022. However, that is now said to change in 2023, as the platform is set to power more mid-range devices as the Gen 2 takes over.
