Acer Aspire V15 and V17 Nitro Black Edition high-end notebooks will go on sale in the US in about two weeks at Newegg starting at $1,099.99 USD.

I am surprised that Acer is not using the Core i7-4712HQ in these laptops. I would expect using a lower TDP CPU would give the Nitro line a more competitive battery life.
I don't think battery life really matters when talking about high-end laptops. Let me rephrase that - I don't think too many high-end laptop buyers care about it.
There is already this product in USA on lot of online stores, for example on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-NX-MQRAA-001-VN7-791G-77JJ-17-3-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00NAWFZG4/ref=sr_1_14?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1411056068&sr=1-14
My bad :). It is a regular Nitro model, not black edition.
No problem, it happens to all of us sometimes... ;)
When in Nov are they supposed to come to Amazon? They've been on newegg for a few weeks.
