An Alder Lake-S engineering sample has been spotted on Geekbench revealing its 16-core, 24-thread configuration and DDR5 RAM support. The benchmark results place the Intel Alder Lake part in the same ballpark as the Comet Lake i9-10900K, but the upcoming 10nm series will eventually be pitched against AMD's Zen 3 refresh and Zen 4 processors.

It is going to be Elder Lake by the time it is launched.
Go peasant destroy AMSh*t tomato team!
Please reach a strong partner agreement with nVidia putting RTX 3050 in Lunar/Meteor successors. If with Raptor also RTX 3050Ti in 7+nm X3D/MCM, the die size is compatible ;-)
If this chip is actually running at 3.4ghz then it is a beast. At 4+ghz it should equal 5950x. This is done with only 8 big cores! It all depends on how soon it launches.

Actually laughed out loud.

By the time Lunar Lake is out I hope they combine it with an RTX 4050 (Lovelace) or an Intel DG3 LP. We are talking about 2022 for Meteor and 2023/24 for LunarLake.
AlderLake would be a fit for RTX3050.
This chip is slower then AMD 8core 5800 in single bench on 15%, and 5950 in multicore about 30% . In multicore 16/24 intel only 5% faster then 8/16 AMD 5800.

While we're at it with the random wish-list - I want a Ford truck that's also a Tesla Roadster, please!
In seriousness though - why would Intel partner with Nvidia to bolt extremely large and power-thirsty (by iGPU standards) graphics hardware onto their CPUs when they have an entire design team dedicated to building iGPUs?
