OnwardMobility, owners of the Blackberry brand, have now reiterated their commitment to delivering a 5G Blackberry smartphone with a physical keyboard. "Contrary to popular belief, we are not dead," the company stated.

Keep talking pal, just keep talking. From their team composition, I can see they're just another fraud like Theranos. All position are bunches of non developers and they don't have any idea to develop one. Best bet they outsource all the production like Nokia
on blackberry os 10 or 11 please!

How long to wait...
By the time the phone come out
Most of it already owned iphone 13 ++
Few years hearing rumours and now already chose iphone.
#still keep blackberry bold in the store.
Like the renderings - different to all the identikit glass slabs out there: Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi etc. Quite honestly phones are pretty much like washing machines these days and as disposable as a BIC razor, nothing to choose between them in terms of looks.....
Blackberry may just score by offering something different.
Any particular reason they're using Apple's emojis in the renders...?
I really hope for a new Passaport.
Looking forward to seeing a new blackberry.
I hope they build it with the best of the best specs, that competes with Samsung and Apple. Make people who jumped ship already to come back be amazed. Stop with the mid-range processor, mid-range RAM, and so on and so on.
Dead On Arrival
I was a die hard Blackberry guy and used a Key2 as my main phone until last month. The keyboard is great and I could type quicker and with more accuracy than with on screen. But I finally gave up on it since it would only support an old version of android. I moved to an iPhone 13 and am very impressed and not going back. The delay in getting this new version out is too long.
I'd buy it in a heartbeat, I really liked blackberry 10 OS more than Android and iOS, blackberry just makes the best touchscreen keyboards I've ever used in a phone.
It's downfall was lack of apps.

Upper
-midrange CPU would be fine and more efficient. Camera should be good to scan a document nothing more. Extreme good build, very nice Android skin and BB security are paramount. Combine this with a high quality PKB you already looking at a costly device. And for god sake keep it compact!
Dumbest thing ever. Why have a dedicated keyboard when most of the apps have no use for a keyboard 90 percent of the time.

These renderings are anyones subjective guess.
The new BB will have PKB so that hopefully makes it standout visually. The design is still completely unknown. My take is a classic compact design would be great with non flagship hardware.
I hope it will make be okay because I know blackberry has fans and am one of them I wish I can be the ambassador of blackberry
Nto holding my breath. Bought Unihertz Titan via Amazon. Neither CEO or CFO answered questions via LinkedIn Messaging. CFO No Longer lists Onward Mobility on his LinkedIn profile.
I think we should never trust Onward Mobility form now onwards.
Because being promising Onward Mobility didn't launch in first half 2021 and after not launching they didn't gave any update why it was delay.
As there was no communication till Jan-2022 first week. Now what has them force to come back again and lie on the Onward Mobility website.
Just to make the fool to Blackberry fans across the glob.
Onward doesn't own the BlackBerry brand, they license it from the owners - BlackBerry.
;D I'm waiting patiently here in South Africa for the new 5g BlackBerry with key board
Many thanks

I really hope for a new Passaport.
That would be great. With a 1:1 screen, that can easily feel like a mini foldable smartphone.
Seriously?? What good is an Android phone, labeled as Blackberry, that does not have any of the server side support of a Blackberry?
Any phones labeled Blackberry without the server support is just another phone, albeit with a physical keyboard.
They stopped being atrue Blackberry when they switched over from their proprietary OS to Android and are now just hyped oddities without the security they were once know for.
Will this new BlackBerry be usable on the US service providers?
I have used a BlackBerry essentially since they came out and really didn't want to switch but was forced to as none of the US carriers (to my knowledge) is allowing BlackBerry after Feb 22 2022.
Tried to obtain response from BlackBerry home company for months without success.
I would switch back in a heartbeat if assured I could use on service provider. Also, what is the anticipated cost of this new model (5G). The Key2 can't be used
