Netflix has introduced higher costs for its streaming service for customers in the US and Canada. Netflix explained that the price hikes are necessary to compete in a crowded streaming market and is spending billions of dollars in content programming. The company has still managed to see growth in the number of subscribers even though monthly rates were increased in the past.
