No offense intended but I think it's a shame you think that way. OEMs shouldn't be getting away with leaving users with the short end of the stick, which is exactly what this is. While its understandable that Type-C is quickly becoming the standard in the industry, the least an OEM can do is to ease the transition for users.

Agreed. I'm a big fan of HTC hardware but some of the decisions the company has made in the recent past are rather baffling.
