The new Omen 15 from HP is equipped with the Max-Q version of the Nvidia GTX 1060. One thing we can say after extensive benchmarking: Contrary to the Max-Q version of the GTX 1080, the GTX 1060 Max-Q is almost on par with the regular GTX 1060, despite lower clocks.

Why the name "Max-Q" though ? Why not "Pre-Throttled" ?
Why don't we see the 1060 Max-Q in the slimmer gaming notebooks? With the nice performance, it seems logical for a budget priced slim gaming notebook, yet all the current models featuring 1060 Max-Q are in the 2.5mm range.
