The FCC has given Ossia the green light to begin installing Cota in industrial and commercials sites. Devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops can be recharged without any AC adapters much like how Wi-Fi has replaced RJ-45 in certain applications.

Nikola Tesla would be proud. This was one of his visions - wireless power and to have it be free. Of course, a big reason it didn't happen is one of his backers was JP Morgan, and he made a lot of money investing in and selling electricity.
Perhaps someday his vision will fully be realized, but this is a good first step.
