Title: Large numbers of counterfeit Intel CPUs are circulating in China: Retailers are attempting to RMA en masse
Post by: Redaktion on April 19, 2020, 19:21:16
Chinese retailers have been attempting to RMA counterfeit Intel processors in large volumes. Many of these CPUs appear to have had their IHS' modified. Some "processors" are even shipping without a CPU die. Intel stated that it will not honor RMAs on counterfeit parts.

Why would you even take the chance of buying directly from any retailer in China?
They are known to sell counterfeit parts or cheap knock-offs to sell as the real deal. You have no recourse if you get screwed.
