Hi, the reviewer must have a faulty unit, this wavy distortion is not present with my Z3 Compact nor any other that I have seen so far.
Why does everybody insist the lanyard connector is a microphone? It's supposed for you to stick a thing through it so you can hang it on your neck or wrist or put decorations on it. The microphones are the tiny tiny holes on the top and bottom.
PC Lab also found that this phone throttles dramatically. After 30 minutes it is 50% slower (!!!) than Z1 Compact.
