Title: MacBook Pro 2018: First benchmark results after software update
Post by: Redaktion on July 25, 2018, 10:57:39
Apple reacts to all the criticism of the last week and just released a software update, which is supposed to improve the CPU performance. We updated our test models of the MacBook Pro 13 as well as the MacBook Pro 15 and have some benchmark results. Especially the smaller MBP 13 benefits from the update.

It would have been great if you included in the graphs the results using your solution

Is it still unclear to me is it worth to buy i9 version or i7? Does i7 generate less heat or not?
And also no tests of 555X vs 560X? If I don't do GPU tasks (only compiling) will 555X give me less heat (due to connected cooling)? Maybe it worth it to take 555X version and bump CPU to i9?
