Title: Unprecedented multi-core performance variance: the Exynos 2100 SoC can score anywhere between 3,200 - 4,073 points in Geekbench multi-core tests

Most tests show that the Exynos 2100 is slightly faster than the Snapdragon 888, but some Exynos samples even manage to break the 4,000-point barrier in the Geekbench 5 multi-core tests, which essentially makes them on par with Apple's latest SoCs.

Yes I thought so too I mean we saw earlier leaks that Exynos able to achieve upto 4k in multi-core I don't know what is going on...I mean Exynos 1080 get around same score than how come 2100 get so less

Mine scored 2303 on multicore and 562 single.

we are not quite sure what is causing this variance

Heat. With this generation a) lifted clocks, b) incorporation of the 5G modem in the processor SoC and c) a greatly enhanced GPU it seems that Exynos 2100 SoCs are getting hotter than what is normal for this class of device.

Samsung, indeed, has announced that it is using a more advanced power management controller than has been employed hitherto. This power manager seems proactive in a way that is causing the observed variance in performance.

If that is what is required to control thermals well and good but it would be even better if the Exynos chip could sustain speeds closer to its peak performance rate. I think that an upgrade like that might be possible but a better silicon process than 5LPE will be needed to achieve that.
