Title: MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE (i7-8750H, GTX 1060, FHD) Xotic PC Edition Laptop Review
Post by: Redaktion on June 20, 2018, 18:23:52
No-frills gaming. The GP63 Leopard is MSI's update of the long-lasting GP62 series. Our review laptop pairs mid-range GTX 1060 graphics with Intel's new hexa-core Coffee Lake-H CPU. How some internal design changes and the new hardware affect the performance is the subject of our review.

Good review. Any chance you guys will test out NewEgg's exclusive Leopard 428 with 1070? Seems like a pretty good deal for ~$1500. Wanted to grab it but unsure if the cooling can handle 1070 and 8750H at the same time.

Umm ... This is the Acer predator helios 300 .... Which should I buy?
I wwas thinking about this one as the predator exceeds my budget.... Is this a good gaming machine ?I want to play fortnite, pubg, WWII,Witcher 3, overwatch and assassin's Creed origins ..... I will be doing a ton of video editing and PowerPoint creation ( matbe streaming as well) ..... Should I consider this  ? The specs are good and the review was good too (4.1/5) so is this worth my money ? Will it have any problems during extensive gaming?

The only thing I am concerned about GP63 is CPU temp is actually "bad" under load. Article stares that it would reach 93-95 Celcius which is near the thermal shutdown limit and please be alarmed!

Is there any real-world observations about Cpu or Gpu temp with GP63? And GP73 would run cooler due to bigger chassis.

Experience is available - do undervolting, change the thermal interface to good (Thermal Grizzly) and forget about trottling forever. The processor is very hot, very few laptops which can keep its temperature below 90 degrees - MSI can.
