The ability to disable permanent notifications from the Notification Panel
Hopefully this means that I can disable the annoying camera and mic indicator.
Unfortunately, that annoying camera/mic indicator is a feature (annoying, I must admit it, but a feature nevertheless) of Android, and definitely not a notification. Hiding it would be nice, definitely, but it looks like there's no workaround for it yet. If anyone has a solution, feel free to share it with us!
