Intel is looking to turn heads with its outgoing Comet Lake-S processors by offering discounts across its portfolio. The discounts come a month before the arrival of the company's Rocket Lake-S and while AMD continues to struggle to produce enough Ryzen 5000 desktop processors.

Intel cleared out Coffee Lake desktop processor inventory last August with a 25% discount. Doesn't seem unusual.
Try "general shortage of AMD". It's not like Ryzen 3000/4000 is any easier to get your hands on.
