Samsung has reportedly unveiled a new kind of smartphone camera component in South Korea. It apparently confers 5x zoom on a device, without creating an ugly bulge extending from its rear panel. However, this module may not be destined for upcoming flagships such as the Galaxy Note 10 yet.

I think the pressing matter here is that the 5x telephoto still outputs very low quality photos, arguably worse than the UWA, in general.
