Title: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060: 6 GB and 12 GB GDDR6 SKUs to debut alongside the RTX 3050, RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti in January 2021

There will be a 12 GB version of the GeForce RTX 3060, Videocardz has confirmed. A 6 GB SKU will be offered too, but there will only be an 8 GB version of the RTX 3060 Ti. The RTX 3060, RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti are now thought to be arriving in January 2021, too.

it seems really weird Nvidia will lunch an 3060 with more vram than 3060 Ti! 🤔

Anyone else get the impression that Nvidia are just taking the p*** at this stage? "Here, have a 3060Ti and 3070 with 8GB and a 3080 with 10GB... Nd a 3060 with 12GB!"

Either VRAM doesn't matter much and this is a lame attempt to con mid-rsnge users into overspending, or it does and they're ripping off early adopters at the high end...

They clearly seem caught by surprise with the new amd stuff looking better than expected so they're scrambling. Competition is good, who'd know right?

Vram matters to a certain point (20gb is bs spec war, 8gb and specially 6gb are getting old soon) and is expensive but again, they need to counter amd.

I hope the 3080ti uses the 3090 massive cooler, and that they stop their bs market segmentation and activated sr-iov at least for the higher end models (3090, 3080ti and maybe 3080)
