Title: New image of PlayStation 5 user interface leaked; 2 TB SSD could be in store for the console
Post by: Redaktion on February 01, 2020, 08:00:12
A new image of what is allegedly the final version of the PlayStation 5's user interface has been shared online. The picture itself isn't particularly revealing, but it is in line with what could be expected from a PlayStation console UI. Rumors from another source claim the PS5 could come with a 2 TB SSD and there's yet another release date suggestion.

Nope, this is just the PS4 ui, it is very obvious. It is a theme. Check your sources before posting

Not buying it ..... a 2 TB SSD runs over $250  or half the cost of a game console ......

You start adding up all these claims plus the amount of raw power needed to run them (At least 500W) all crammed into a poorly ventilated box and it just doesn't add up

Somebody already said something about it but a 2TB SSD is going to make the PS5 so expensive that they'll be shooting themselves on the foot, plus with all that power that's being rumored at that point the PS5 will probably run you from about $600 to $800 at the most.

Sony has already stated that the PS5 will be 500, Sony says they will be taking a loss on the consul because the PS4 will still be selling and they will be making up the loss from sales from everything else so you broke guys don't need to worry, this machine will be backwards capable with every single PlayStation generation it's definitely worth how much you think it's going to be but it will not cost that much

I don't think it's uncommon for Sony to take a loss during the initial release of any of their consoles.  I also believe that they believe $500 is a sweet spot as a price-point, and I would agree.  14 years ago this price was extremely high for the ps3, it's more reasonable now.
