The new Ryzen processors give a decent boost to AMD. This will please the end users in particular, since competition is known to be good for business. The two Ryzen chips without the "X" in their labels are supposed to be energy efficient above all. You can find out in this review, what  you can really get out of these processors.

For me, the decision between Intel and AMD would hinge on the answer to the question if AMD has installed or not installed a similar backdoor to their processors as Intel has in its Trusted Execution hardware (don't remember the exact name right now...

Does anyone know?
