Four independent sources reveal that that the RX 6800 XT cards perform up to 19% better in the Firestrike tests, and up to 3% faster in the Time Spy tests, but still trail behind the RTX 3080 in the Port Royal tests that focus on ray tracing performance. One of the sources claims that the AMD cards can even beat the RTX 3090 in the Firestrike tests, but we are suspecting the source is actually confusing RX 6800 XT with the more potent RX 6900 XT in this case.

"We might be looking at a mix of RX 6900 XT results (Firestrike tests)"
No you can't. It's alredy known the only card AIBs will receive is 6800XT, therefore you can't possibly see the 6900xt in action, period.

Why? The 3090 is only ~15% faster than the 3080, so if the 6800XT is beating the 3080 by ~20% in those tests then it's also beating the 3090.
Big if, of course - comparing overclocked to stock results isn't that helpful, and we don't yet know if that's what they're doing.
