Title: Review Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch 20A8-003UGE Ultrabook
Post by: Redaktion on February 20, 2014, 07:17:07
Experiment.. The 2013 edition of the X1 Carbon came pretty close to a rating of "very good". Still, Lenovo hasn't stopped improving its premium ultrabook series, adding a WQHD IPS panel to the 13-inch device while also improving its battery life and implementing new input devices / ports. Is this enough to eradicate the few remaining issues?

Don't believe that contrast ratio. Lenovo forced a dynamic contrast in a GPU driver (for AC and battery). You can disable it by a manual installation of the generic driver and then ratio is much lower (but screen quality improves). I'm disappointed from the display quality in this new X1 Carbon and have the same LCD as reviewed unit had.

Laptop is no working after 2 days of normal usage. I have read this is a common issue with these laptops, probably a design flaw. Lenovo is replacing the entire motherboards on this models. Please, if you are considering buy one, donĀ“t do it!
