A new leak says the desktop GeForce RTX 4050 will feature 6 GB of video memory on a 96-bit bus. Its other specs, such as CUDA core count, base/boost clocks and GPU, are unknown, but the graphics card will be launched sometime in June 2023.

The comparisons to the 8GB RTX 3050 will be harsh, but it can be good if the price is low.

Who needs this pathetic s*** on the desktop?
It doesn't have DP2.1 at 80Gbps. It doesn't have enough VRAM even for old games. This is a waste of money for both entertainment and work, because. does not allow you to connect 8k monitors in the future and play for new games with 60fps+ with high quality.

The price of this stub can be no more than $150.

DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.1 can be used for 8K video playback. You won't be doing 8K gaming with a 1080p card.

The 6500 XT with only 4 GB VRAM sells for $150 right now. Nvidia can easily get away with $200 for a 4050, maybe more.
