While budget gaming notebooks often have difficulties displaying current games at maximum details, the price-to-performance ratio is good in most cases. MSI's GF63 Thin 9SC is a fairly affordable representative of this species.

not a single part i like
I'm eyeballing one of these and it's sporting an i7 GPU. Wonder what difference that would do vs the reviewed i5
Thank you very much for this excellent review!
Using this laptop for 7+ months now! Bought for 55k INR (~$780) from Flipkart.
Amazing article, thanks for the in-depth review. The best review I ever saw
I think this product offers great hardware, but there are some issues and improvements to be made.
1. My main issue was that wi-fi never worked. The laptop only worked through ethernet, and only worked through wi-fi for everything other than games. Wi-fi worked for every other device, and endless troubleshooting and sending in the laptop for repair didn't fix it. The laptop seems to be working now, after a year, but be warned.
2. The laptop chassis is made of a metal-plastic, which I feel could be metal.
3. The bottom airflow is made to look "gamery" which makes it less productive.
4. I feel the keyboard legend could be made a little more like normal keyboards, instead of being a "gamer" keyboard. The red backlight I'm fine with.
5. WHY ISN"T THERE DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY???
Picking up the MSI GF63 Thin 9RCX means gaining access to dozens of titles people enjoy today, a large portion of them being popular titles like League of Legends, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. But you still get that portability that's useful for schooling. It's a well-rounded choice that has the best of both worlds. ;D ;D
