Title: Sly tactics: Canon has limited the EOS Rebel SL3 (EOS 250D/EOS Kiss X) and EOS 2000D (Rebel T7) to proprietary flash accessories
Post by: Redaktion on May 07, 2019, 18:03:03
Canon has omitted the center pin from the EOS Rebel SL3 and EOS 2000D, a decision which renders both DLSRs incompatible with almost all third-party flash accessories. Naturally, the company has not pointed this out for either device.

Hey this is rather false information as 3rd party TTL flashes don't use the centre pin either!
Almost every recent 3rd party flash will work perfectly well. Only purely-manual studio triggers may not work, but on a bottom of the range camera such a combination should not be needed and they started dropping support for manual sync port multiple models ago (from 60D)
