Following on from The Pirate Bay's 24-hour trial of using a cryptomining script to generate revenue rather than using advertising, we now have a Chrome extension which is trying the same thing. Unfortunately for the developer, their implementation of the script causes high CPU usage for the entire time that Chrome is open and the extension performs a non-essential function for users.
