The Sony Xperia 1 V release date may have just been revealed by an official announcement from one of the company's many Chinese social media channels. However, while the Xperia 1 V has a good chance of appearing at the Sony Expo 2023 event, there are numerous other products that could be making a star turn instead.

Sony's weird scheduling definitely puts the Xperia over the edge in terms of availability. If they really intend to push smartphone in the market, they should be more proactive in promoting and distributing their smartphones.

It seems they actually do prioritize their biggest markets, which seems to be China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan & South East Asia, followed by Europe.

North America is just for flagships, and perhaps not that many units are sold yearly over here. It has been several years without a midrange offering (since Xperia 10).
