Windows 8 with a twist. Lenovo's unique ThinkPad Twist adopts the x-series' design of a swivel-mounted screen alongside all the obligatory ThinkPad traits. But can it fulfill its intended role as a practical next-gen alternative to a conventional business notebook?

As one of the audio production geeks who cares about DPC latency--it's worth noting that DPC Latency Checker does not accurately reflect DPC latency on Windows 8 and behaves as if there is an additional 1ms lag--see http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml
That said I appreciate how your site actually DOES show DPC latency info. I hope Thesycon updates their tool soon.
Interesting--thanks for the heads-up! I will be sure to note this in future reviews.
Glad you like our reviews. We put a ton of time and effort into each one, and I personally have long relied on our site for my primary source of notebook quality assessments--long before I ever became an editor here!
Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas, and thanks for reading! :)

my s230u wont turn on and it is fully charged. where is the battery located so i can take it out and put it back in
I bought this device in '12 the month it came out. I have had nothing but problems with it. I own 5 different devices and do all of my own tech work and repairs, but this device, after updating the OS to 8 then 8.1, adding a SSD, updating all of the Lenovo drivers constantly, etc, etc, it is STILL the most unreliable device I have had in years. Perhaps mine is just a lemon, but it's one problem after another. Icons disappear. The screen orientation has a life of its own. Bluetooth never works consistently. The mouse pad is inconsistent at best. Packed with bloatware. I will never buy another Lenovo.
very bad quality computer. I regret I purchased it at retail store. Battery is not charging fully-50 percent. the screen is small and battery life is about one hour on high brightness. I cant even sell it, nobody likes or respects Lenovo brand in my country-Asus, Sony and Apple are. I would never recommend anyone to buy Lenovo brand to anyone-its a waste of money unless you buy the premium-the most expensive one. I owned Asus and never had hardware or software problems. thinks twice before you buy it for personal use- for office use its ok.
I have owned and used this PC for a year now. It's annoying but functional. The auto screen rotate goes nutty alot and you have to turn it on and off to get it to realize orientation. It has no INSERT key on the keyboard which is entirely baffling and I still go looking for it a year later. The mouse icon disappears at times (though the touchscreen works) and that makes you want to lose your mind. It's solid and well made physically and I got a great deal when I bought it so the price was right but it's an annoying PC to use and it's not my favorite laptop of all time, that's for sure. I tolerate it.
