Title: Robots replace 20,000 workers at Amazon
Post by: Redaktion on November 07, 2018, 14:16:16
During christmas time, Amazon traditionally hires thousands of seasonal workers to meet the sharp rise in demand. However, the number of these workers is said to be declining by almost 20,000 this year. The reason for this is the ongoing automation.

The future is still automation.

What a "great" news!
Robots at work, but robots at online shopping? :)))

We shouldn't be talking about "job loss" in relation to activities that also "create new jobs". "Jobs transformation" is more appropriate and less misleading, falsely linking automation to job loss, when different, better jobs are created by automation at the same time.

PS Funny how I have to verify I am not a robot to post this comment, while defending robots.. haha
