Title: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X destroys the Intel Core i5-10600K in Cinebench
Post by: Redaktion on November 02, 2020, 17:32:02
The new AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is almost as fast as the Ryzen 7 3700X and its level of Cinebench performance simply blows the Intel Core i5-10600K out of the water: 42% better in multi-threading and 25% faster in the single-core test. The new AMD processor is also over 20% faster than its predecessor in both multi-threaded and single-threaded tests.

You need to be consistent with "slightly" and "small", ROFL

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X destroys the Intel Core i5-10600K in Cinebench5600X is slightly faster than the Ryzen 7 3700X in the single-threaded Cinebench R15 test (258 points as mentioned earlier vs. 204), but loses in the multi-threaded test by a small difference (2,040 vs. 2,112).

Makes sense. zen 2 was 5-10% better than skylake in IPC. Add to that the 20% from zen 2 to zen 3 and you get these results. I mean really, 10600k is a 2015 product after all...

Well, it wasn't released in 2015... ;)

Your statement would have been true two decades ago, in which case I would gladly travel back in time with you and acknowledge the fact that you're right. ... and also do something that I should have back then and change my life entirely. However, we're in 2020. ;)
