The PS4 outsold the Xbox One 14:1 in initial sales in Japan.

As stated below, the real news here are the Xbox sales. This would indicate that they are closing the gap this generation. In fact, if the correlation holds true, they will win this generation in the US. Inferring a lot here I know and. it is still too early to be able to tell anything. It is looking good out of the gate for MS though. They have played this launch better than previous launches.
It's Japan. Buying an American console in Japan would be like eating Sushi during a 4th of July barbecue for us Americans. It's a tough sell.
