The Xperia 1 II has some impressive camera capabilities, upon which Sony has improved with a new update for the device. Currently rolling out in multiple regions, albeit only for single-SIM versions, the update adds RAW image format support among a few other changes.

Now the question is whether or not the HDR makes any difference for DNG output...if it does then it would be a very rare native alternative to LR's HDRDNG and Gcam's HDR+.
When will notebookcheck release the xperia 1 ii review?

Did you find the answer? The RAW support should enabled the use of Google's NightSight algorithm on a GCamMod for Xperia 1 II! :-)

Thanks but I knew Gcam was coming all along, the question is whether Sony's RAW poses an alternative, but I'm not really holding my breath.
