Title: Samsung nabbed passing off DSLR shots as camera samples of the Galaxy A8 Star
Post by: Redaktion on December 04, 2018, 09:22:39
Months after getting caught using DSLR shots as camera samples for the Galaxy A8, Samsung has been nabbed doing the exact same thing with the Galaxy A8 Star. Companies like Huawei and Xiaomi have also been caught in similar acts of crookery in the past.

That is dishonest.  The DSLR can't explode.

This isn't the same case, not only was there no explicit mention that the device was used to take the picture, there's no misleading series of events depicted like in Huawei's case when a person was shown holding the device and pressing the shutter with the DSLR image then edited to show immediately afterwards.
In any case, the picture really isn't anything special in terms of both image quality or shooting conditions and I'm fairly certain that using the advertised model at a similar location with a proper app and a little PP could result in something highly similar. This is rather Samsung being lazy than falsely advertising something the device couldn't realistically achieve.
