Title: Popular YouTuber steals US$500,000 from fans and shamelessly buys a new Tesla with the money
Post by: Redaktion on February 02, 2022, 02:37:33
In an apparent crypto scam, a popular game streamer known from Twitch and YouTube has allegedly scammed his fans out of half a million dollars by creating his own cryptocurrency and orchestrating a simple pump and dump scheme. Instead of returning the money, he decided to buy himself an expensive new Tesla.

If I had known getting money for Tesla would be this easy, I would have done that earlier. Cause' 1. I need to pay mortgage for a new home I just purchased and 2. I need a car for long term use.

You read this & the comments and it show's just how screwed up this  Entitled generation is. Not saying there are not older one's but there is a clear lack of work ethic over the last 2 generations.  A huge part of the population just thinks there "suppose " to have things. I see it working in finance the last 27 yrs. The attitude especially of those under 40 is amazing. They cannot communicate unless it's via text or email, they expect to just have the BMW, there is 0 concept of having to earn & work for things.  Its why socialism is so popular and now those kids are having kids so who is going to teach them?? Not our schools. We seriously need to.consider what were teaching our kids! We have more information available then ever yet we seem dumber then ever.

Unfortunately this dumbing down of the population is also effecting society as a whole as well.

We rather spend on tax rebates to bring in jobs or business to a community than to spend it social services such as schools, etc.

I'm done with this country and I've seen the writing on the wall these past 20 years. Good luck to y'all

You're complaining about education quality while your post is littered with spelling and grammar mistakes. To address your point however, there have been grifters and con men in every generation. This isn't new.

Coming from a generation that keeps patting themselves on the back for working too hard, when they didn't and still got to buy a house without working hard. You weren't smart and you didn't have to compete against smart people. People are just disillusioned, not lazy. They look at your dumb generation with envy because they know it will never be that easy again. It's your generation that transferred 50 trillion dollars to the 1% while being so high on Reaganomics and work ethics and other words they stuff in your lobotomized brains.  Keep repeating those words to they younger generations, uncle, and keep watching while the billionaires turn to trillionaires just as you've watched while they became billionaires. Then, they wouldn't need workers and more will be thrown to the curb, and you will still be there to repeat the same words.

It's great to hear someone actually admits to what they have done and except the blame. Now only if those people that are the victims would do the smart thing and walk into a federal court and press charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud his a@&$ will be behind bars playing pass the soap. So which one of them is smarter than a fifth grader 😆😆😆😆

I Love crypto but the sooner it's regulated or at least a way to stop this kind of thing from happening the better.

The issue is the Devs have too much power to introduce ways of taking the retail investors money out of the back door.

When a way of making sure that that scams can't happen I think crypto will flourish beyond anything ever witnessed before in our lifetime. Roll on regulation or a framework that projects need to work within that doesn't allow liquidity to be stolen.

These are some of the very important learning experiences we all have to learn from.
Crypto must NEVER be regulated. The whole point, nature, essence, strength and freedom of crypto comes from it being decentralised and unregulated. Your money is YOURS FULL STOP. So with that, the regulation and safety of it is on YOU.

We've never had such full possession, control, freedom and convenience crypto brought us. The control of our money and its safety have always been managed for us. As with anything this is an advantage of fiat currencies but at the same time biggest flaw.

Crypto changes that. We now have to learn how to keep our own money safe. We have to regulate it within OURSELVES and keep it decentralised.

The bottom line is, this scammer is obviously scum and filth, but he is not to blame. He isn't the flaw in this scam. The flaw is the people who followed his advice without due diligence.

So please identify the flaw where it truly is. Crypto cannot, must not be regulated by any central body. If you hold any amount of crypto, you are now solely responsible for all aspects of safety of your money and must learn how to keep it safe. If this sounds liike a major disadvantage of crypto to you, and do not see what advantages it brings, you definitely should learn more about finance and economics, and crypto, before holding or transfering any of it.

You sound like a crypto-bro. Drank the kool-aid. Crypto and blockchain is so flawed it's worse than fiat. You can't be responsible for your own crypto when you don't own the blockchain. Decentralized means there are no rules. And it's anonymous. Those are the very definitions of anarchy. The whole reason civilizations have grown was by people coming together and acting in ways that contribute to all, to a greater good. Decentralized, anonymous blockchain just enables the worst people to get away with whatever they can, with no protections of the innocent who want to play fair. You really want to go back to primitive times where you are constantly on the look-out for yourself, have to arm yourself because there's a thief or backstabber around every corner and no laws to protect you? Pfft! Wake up.

They had it in the title and a couple times in the article. That's pretty minimal. Wtf is your problem? Seems Tesla upsets you so they mention it in two separate paragraphs and you flip your s***.

I love the guy blaming the younger generation for not having a Work ethic and expecting everything for free, when the young are just disillusioned by all the mega rich manipulating the political systems, financial systems, legal systems and education systems to further enrich themselves while destroying the middle class and impoverishment of the masses. Telling the masses they are lazy or not good enough, if you work harder your will be rewarded. Not only this, the guy works in Banking, where most of the self entitled criminals that caused the GFC reside.

Socialism is the concept of common ownership of social services that benefit humanity; health and education. I know for Americans this is a difficult concept to grasp, however most modern economies benefit from distribution of wealth through taxation, innovation through education and productivity through health. Most economies are mixed economies, not socialist utopias or capitalist wet dreams, being mixed is what makes them successful.

The older generations have screwed the younger generations - wages have been dropping for 50 years, the rich game the system to take all the money and leave everyone else further and further behind. Education and housing (in the US) are increasingly unaffordable, so for the median income they are either out of reach or require crushing debt, compared to previous generations. When the people running the economy break the social contract, how is everyone else supposed to respond? While I'm certainly not going to justify scamming people, the idea that it's all the younger generation's fault and the people running the economy into the ground are blameless is absurd.

We need to consider what we're teaching our kids? Are you saying you've been throwing all the kids into the nightmare of an education system we have now without considering it? This generation has so thoroughly fucked the education system it's not even funny. The system doesn't care about kids, it doesn't care about improving them. It cares about money and turning the population into drones
