Firefighters across the globe are facing a new problem with burning electric cars - they can't easily be put out - and require many times the amount of water and efforts to extinguish. A case in point is a wrecked Tesla sitting in a junkyard for weeks before it spontaneously combusted and the fire brigade couldn't kill the flames with their current toolkit. https://www.notebookcheck.net/EV-battery-fire-hazard-underscored-by-reigniting-junkyard-Tesla-that-couldn-t-be-put-out.628750.0.html
That's a bit on the fire fighters. It's pretty common knowledge that you can't distinguish a battery fire with water.
Pro tip: Kitchen oil fires also shouldn't be extinguished with water as it will go boom 😂
