Title: XPS 15 9560 official: GTX 1050, Kaby Lake, fingerprint scanner, and Windows Hello
Post by: Redaktion on December 20, 2016, 17:23:58
Dell has gone official with the XPS 15 9560, and it does not disappoint. Changes include a GTX 1050, Kaby Lake, fingerprint scanner, Windows Hello, and new Wi-Fi card. Thanks to the updated Pascal graphics, GPU-intensive tasks should run approximately 50% faster than the previous generation.

When you test this device please also check the Thunderbolt 3 performance. Dell cheated on the 9550 with a neutered connection with only two PCIe lanes.

Are you sure that Dell hasn't removed the fingerprint reader? There seems to be conflicting information about it. The Dell driver website includes drivers for the finger print reader, but the sales website does not have it as an option for purchase.

I just ordered an XPS 1560, and the Dell sales representative confirmed that the fingerprint reader option has been removed due to "issues." Or perhaps the fingerprint reader is now integrated into the touch pad?
