A senior Google Stadia executive claimed that that the company's Project Chimera neural network system could be used by developers to craft detailed, open world titles at a fraction of the cost. While Stadia might not be long for this world, machine learning looks set to play a bigger role in gaming.

Stadia not long for this world? This statement is so ridiculous and ill-informed. As a tech journalist I would have expected better. Surely the very fact they are working on something like Project Chimaera completely undermines that statement. Come on dude, you can do better.
Stadia most certainly hasn't been reeling from a rocky start. In fact there are numerous articles in the last few days that user numbers are through the roof and going from strength to strength. I know it's tempting when researching the back-story for an article like this to not check beyond the mass of click-baity negative columns out there - but for clarity it's worth being a though leader and not a viral sneezer.

Don't mistake Stadia launch with current COVID stay at home situation that drove people to play Stadia, Steam, whatever other games, GeForce Now and alike.
I'm still amused that Stadia somehow has fanboys. Of all things, lol
Nice. Now we just need to build autolooting bots using AI.
Google has a history of ditching projects with low uptake: here's an incomplete list of 199 cancelled Google projects: https(:)//killedbygoogle(.)com/
They haven't delivered on a large chunk of what they promised with Stadia--it performs worse that the Xbox One X despite allegedly being faster. And literally no third-party developers have Stadia exclusives planned. It isn't even available in India and China, which are where the majority of the world's gamers are at. It wouldn't be surprising in the least if Google pulled the plug on Stadia this year or in a year from now at latest. Project Chimera is no indication that they're going to continue supporting Stadia. They were working on it before Stadia's launch and the IP from it will probably be worth something to Google down the line and might be integrated into something else they do.
This is absolutely incorrect. Stadia has improved significantly since launch and is actually a very good service, which is increasing in popularity, recenlt it has confirmed over 1 million downloads of the Stadia APP. A terrible article, with miss information.
