The new cylindrical 4680 battery that Tesla intends to start placing in its electric vehicles as soon as this quarter will also be produced by Panasonic later this year. Panasonic commented that, since Tesla has placed a huge order for them, it will be given 'top priority' as a client for its first 4680 batteries to be shipped later in 2022.
