I'm just confused at how little space is devoted to the truck bed itself versus the rest of the "truck"?  How is this going to compete with the vast majority of trucks with much. much more room in terms of storage?  YOu know, the reason people use trucks?

I'd wager that most people that buy trucks don't do it out of necessity, but the Cybertruck supposedly has a bigger bed than the Ford F-150 Lightning, if that's any indication. 6.5 feet for the Cybertruck but 5.5 feet for the F-150. Seems to be wider, too, but I'm not sure I believe any of that, considering the images we've seen of the Lightning beside the Cybertruck (the ones where the Tesla was stuck in the mud). The Cybertruck is significantly smaller than any F-150. To be fair, it probably has a shorter nose than any F-150, but we'll have to see what the actual bed dimensions are when it comes out. We all know how Tesla's hype machine works compared to the end result, by now.

It's kinda cute that you think that most Americans who buy large pickup trucks ever use their beds for anything. Half of the average pickups in the US end up as pavement queens to begin with.
