The IdeaPad 530s is more than s simple performance upgrade, and it features a slightly redesigned base. We have had the chance to put the top model through its paces - find out how well it did in our extensive review.

Looks great for me, the reflective display is a huge drawback though.
Can you do a 530s AMD version plz?
Can anybody tell something about FullHD version of this one? What about AdobeRGB coverage? Lot of thanks.
What does this mean, non-replaceable battery? Unless it's epoxied into the plastic, surely there must be some way to replace it?
Anybody tell me about FullHD version of this one? What about sRGB coverage? Thanks!

Apparently FHD version has terrible sRGB and even worse AdobeRGB.
It has the same matrix as Acer Swift 1, you can look up the review on this site or just search for the matrix directly: B140HAN04.0
So you can expect around 56% sRGB and 36% AdobeRGB coverage.
Was going to buy it, but then noticed it's just awful.
Has anyone tried the US version of WQHD model?
I read from Amazon US that the US version use the slower MX150. Is this true?
GPU has temperature limit of 61C????
Should I go for the core i5 or i7? I'm using the notebook for mostly internet browsing, microsoft office and photos viewing. No game playing. For this kind of use, would i7 be noticably faster than the i5 and worth the extra money or is unnecessary?
Do you have the confirmation that the M.2 2242 slot works? Have you tried it?
Thanks!
Just an observation - you said the GPU throttled down to 1,469-1,532 MHz when you stress tested it - but that's the standard frequency in the specs at the top
Note, this is not "faux aluminum" finish. It's real aluminum, the LCD back, palm side. Unfortunately, they didn't go with a more brushed aluminum look. It really looks something like plastic, but I assure you it's all metal.
Underside is aluminum as well.
