FINALLY a next level screen(16/9 is bad on small diagonal but thats another story), good price, good look, good quality, best buy if not that fked up noisy cooling. it is unacceptable especially in this laptop class.
btw ryzen 7 3700 is a direct lie

400 cinebench is a 4-thread cpu territory
they sell empty numbers to us, not real things

and there is no law to stop it
it should be a law-real numbers on the box, like cinebench or 3dmark in a loop.

Would it be possible to focus more on the gaming performance? Does the throttling occur there too? These laptops had driver problems before and these were hopefully solved by AMD's drivers that were superior to OEM's. Is there any chance of trying to re-run gaming tests with different drivers?
Could you please run a UserBenchmark Test and share the results please? I'd like to know what components it uses, I think the PM961 and the Samsung RAM from last year had better performance.
Also if I'm running light tasks, will having 16GB make a difference in performance. HP live chat agents said yes, I don't think they know what they're saying.

You might want to recheck your statement about active pen. It ships with what seems like an n trig pen , at least in some eu countries.
Also some people are reporting 700+ nits display.
Both are related to the ryzen 3700u 16gb model.
Also there are now several Reddit threads confirming the same.

Hmm, in US market the Envy X360 13 can be customized with one of the two following displays, I'm wondering if the language suggests the privacy screen option isn't glass covered or multitouch-enabled. It would be awesome to get a 600+ nit display but worried in US market it might be a completely different display.

Nevermind, found it with some more digging. The SureView thing with the privacy filter happens to make the display 120Hz. You'd think that would be a highlight feature on the laptop microsite.
So only the Privacy Screen option is 120hz and the default FHD is 60hz?
I would like to know this info as well, it seems like if the privacy guard screen is chosen that would be dimmer as well (might be worth for 120hz).
Also, can anyone direct me to a shot of the bottom without the chase? really want to see the layout..
I bought the Ryzen 7 Envy x360 (256Gb SSD/1Tb HDD) in May19 at Harvey Norman for $2400 and it died after 4 months. No power, nothing. HP charged me $260 for a technician to come and fix my laptop, because I cant afford to lose it for 2-3 weeks as it is my primary work computer. Had power startup issues early on; HP blamed my docking station (Alogic) causing issues with the USB C port. Thought that was fixed with a software update. Have been generally happy with its performance, but not its reliability. The warranty is useless if you need the laptop daily. Would definitely not recommend a HP laptop.
Can you please start comparing contrast ratios at a relatively low brightness level, say 275 nits. I much prefer high contrast at low brightness when working all day on a laptop. This would be a very important consideration, for me, when purchasing my next laptop. I don't want to be staring at a super-bright light all day.
