NVIDIA claims that the GeForce RTX 3060 will start at £299 and US$329 when it launches next month, but early board partner pricing suggests otherwise. Instead, many custom GeForce RTX 3060 cards will sell for £499.99 through official channels, with prices varying between £457 and £513.

I assume most people simply cannot afford the luxury of a $500 video card. I know I cannot and even if I could, I won't. Not ever. It may well be supply and demand but shorting the supply to raise demand is rather a shitty way of treating your customers.
