Title: An iPad that folds into an iPhone? Apple’s apparently working on an eye-popping foldable for 2023, with a 3nm A16X and voice calling

Tipster @komiya_kj shared rather remarkable specs for a purported upcoming Apple foldable product. The foldable will evidently fill the gap between the iPad and iPhone by folding out into tablet form and folding into smartphone form. The Apple foldable reportedly features an A16X SoC, microLED tech, and phone call support.

Wow! There have been low-level rumors indicating Apple & Samsung had been developing advanced (next-gen) foldable screen tech. Unsure if the partnership includes Corning Inc. Samsung has provided iPhone/iPad device screens (& other components) for years. Their (quiet) work on an iPhone foldable makes sense as Apple has been unusually quiet on the emerging foldable device market front. But this is how Apple has typically operated...wait a little to see consumer reactions & market demand. Then make it better in the "Apple style" of the brand.

All the people that basically scoff at the Z-Fold 2 / Surface Duo, & wonder how foldable devices will be useful - will quickly change their tune & suddenly love the iPhone foldable.

Informative. I'm looking forward to possessing a MacBook Air.
