Der Laptop ist zwar mit einem der neuesten Prozessoren aus Intels 10. Prozessorgeneration bestückt, fast alles andere an dem Laptop wirk allerdings recht veraltet. Das Aspire 5 ist schwerer und größer als viele andere 14-Zoll-Alternativen, bietet dadurch jedoch keine wirklichen Vorteile.
