ASUS has packed an awful lot of features into the slim chassis of the ROG Swift PG32UQX, its 32-inch gaming monitor. Not only has ASUS included a 4K panel, but it also has equipped the PG32UQX with a 1,152 zone Mini-LED backlight and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The PG32UQX supports NVIDIA G-Sync Ultimate too, although there is no HDMI 2.1 on board.

And here I thought Mini-LED was supposed to be a cheaper alternative to OLED...
Lower cost but higher price and higher provided value. Don't expect manufacturer to decide price based on cost. Its the best monitor until OLED GSYNC HDR1000 (+) will be annouced.
3600$ and no HDMI 2.1 or display port 2.0? Like wtf. Monitor should be 2000$ max.
They are out of their minds. Over $6000 and it doesn't support HDMI 2.1?! That's complete insanity.
* This monitor is 10bit / 144hz / 4k
* Displayport 1.4 is 32.4Gbs
* 10bit / 144hz / 4k @ 4:4:4 requires ~48Gbps
I would have paid a lot for this monitor but without HDMI 2.1, it's significantly worse. I'd pay $1500.

Display manufacturers have lost the plot.
Either that, or they pay for everyday items with gold nuggets.
More than 6k for a monitor that doesn't even offer HDMI 2.1 or pixel level illumination control?? I'll give it a miss.
The only logical reason for the staggering price is so that they can still charge 2-3k for even lesser displays...
well absence of hdmi 2.1 were a miss type ! look at asus spec on pubblicity ! its reported hdmi 2.1.
Althought >3000€ is completely no sense!
4k 144hz when there is not a GPU that can run that much HZ unless you play esports games. No triple AAA game.
Maybe in 2 more gens we can see 120hz 4k and this monitor being actually Worth at 1500 dollar price.
